Bora Bora Report 5

So, today's activities included snorkeling, laying on the beach, snorkeling, eating breakast and lunch, laying on the beach, applying the 1.5 gallons of sunblock to my body, sitting on our deck, emailing.... and sitting on the beach. By the way... "sitting on the beach"means sitting 4 feet from the water and then going and dipping in the 80 degree water everynow and then.

Ok, for my kids...

So your mom and I were swiming on the reef when i noticed something move on top of a piece of coral. I swam over to it and it disappeared inside the coral. So I went over and looked into the hole and could finally see what it was. It was a big octopus. I am guessing taht it was 5 feet across, but it is tough to tell. As we watched it, it kept changing colors. Then i tried to get it to come out by pulling on it with a stick (i just wanted your mom to see it better). That made the octopus a little mad and it first blew a bunch of water at me really hard, then it grabbed my stick and tried to take it away. We never did get it to come out, but it was really cool.

Then, as we were swimming away........... more tomorrow!

Well,

this computer is set up in chinese, so i am going to type into it and see what happens.

This also is for my kids.

So Madison, Kale and Avery (who wont care about this at all since there are no pictures). To continue with my story from yesterday...

So your mom and I went out into the deeper water to feed the fish and no sharks came. But as we were swimming back to shore I went down to look around at these big pieces of coral. I was on the bottom and came around a corner and "bam" there it was... a really big moray eel. It was green, about 6' long, and had really big teeth. I guess I suprised him, because he came out of his hole about 3 feet to check me out. I stayed out of his way, beacause I did not want to make him mad.

then I swam back to our bungalow over the water and was looking under it and I found a ........

Bora Bora Report 2

Just for my kids.

Madison, Kale and Avery. This morning I was reading my Bible over water, (Hosea was the text in case you were wondering), and something caught my eye. A black tipped shark about 5 feet long was swimming right under our hut!

I jumped in the water and "beat him down" and we ate him for lunch. Just kidding, he just swam back into the deeper water and dissapeared. It did make your mom a little scared when we went swimming back out there this evening and I opened a can of sardenes to feed the fish. Your mom watched out for sharks and none came.

But on the way back into shore, I saw a........ You will have to wait for tomorrow!

And i found a gecko on my nose... if the picture will ever load.

Bora Bora report 1

Well, all of you who will read this will have to do so through the lense of our kids. Most of our blogs will probably include the rediculous for their enjoyment.

We are absolutlely pumped to be down here. We dont believe a more beautiful place on earth exists. This is it! This just makes us wonder how amazing heaven will be!

White fulffy sand.

Crystal clear water. Melissa and I took a boat out and swam in the lagoon. We could probably see for about 100' in the water. Melissa has become quite adept at her snorkeling skills. She can dive down to about 15' without much problem.

Fish, fish, fish.... tons everywhere!

Melissa is really enjoying herself. She doesnt have to get up at a set time and the ease of not having mouths to feed has really allowed her to unwind.

Thanks to all of you who are praynig for us. Keep it up, we appreciate it. We will definately be returning the favor... after all.. we are in Bora Bora and... you are not. Ok we will just pray for you :)
